At the Fred Astaire of Upper Montclair, we have a simple, straight-forward pricing system. We don't believe in holding sales or specials throughout the year, and we don't negotiate with each student. It's the same rate for all students. We feel this honest, straight-forward pricing policy makes it easy to plan your budget and feel confident you're getting the best value for your dollar.
The Introductory Program - $99*
2 Private ½ Hour Lessons + 1 Group Class for $99 per person

Our Introductory Program is designed to introduce you to ballroom dancing. The program includes a sample of each of our methods of teaching. It is designed as a sampler platter, for you to get a taste of the ballroom world, how to take lessons, our friendly and knowledgeable staff, and our beautiful studio.
We recomend that you start with a group class, offered Monday at 7:45 or Friday at 9:15. They're offered every week, so you can start whenever it's convenient for you.

Fred Astaire Trophy System - Three Ways to Teach and Learn Ballroom Dancing
We offer the Fred Astaire Trophy System as an easy way for you to track your progress while you enjoy dancing! Our Social and Advanced Foundation Programs teach beginner students the step patterns and techniques to move comfortably on the dance floor with any partner. From there, a student can progress through our Bronze* and Silver* levels - all the way to the Gold*!
Fred Astaire Dance Instructors
Hailing from around the world, our teachers are actively competing, award-winning professionals and gifted educators. Many of our teachers have degrees in the fine arts and all have passed rigorous exams given by the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dance and the Fred Astaire Curriculum certification. All our staff is fully certified to teach by the Fred Astaire National Council of Dance, and is consistently training to achieve the next level of certification.
Fred Astaire Dance Curriculum
Our curriculum covers the full range of American, Latin-American, International Style, and Exhibition/Theatre Arts dances. World famous dance champions and registered judges on the Fred Astaire National Dance Board constantly study and review our curriculum to make sure that only the finest, up-to-date programs are being offered to our students.
After the Introductory Program you'll advance to our BEGINNER'S PROGRAM, and then to a SOCIAL FOUNDATION, BRONZE, SILVER, then GOLD PROGRAM. Each package after the BEGINNER'S PROGRAM is designed for you. We can arrange a payment plan that fits your needs, lifestyle and budget.
