You'll enjoy getting to know our staff and studio with this short, 2 week program.
Start with a group class on a Monday at 7:45, or Friday at 9:15, where you'll
quickly learn how easy it is to learn to dance. Group class show you the mechanics,
the objective side of learning, the steps, the elements. After your group, schedule
your private lessons to learn the kinesthetic (movement, feeling) side of the
dance.

5 Private Lessons
An extension of the Introductory Program, this program is best if finished in
3-4 weeks. During this program you'll study the basics of several dances - waltz
and rumba (the box), foxtrot and tango (for movement and floor craft), and cha
cha and swing (syncopated, faster movement.) The purpose of the Beginner's Program
is to try on all the dances to find which
dances suit your needs, or which you like the best. During this program, we'll
plan your next step.

At Fred Astaire of Upper Montclair, there are no pushy sales techniques. You
simply keep taking lessons until you've developed into the dancer that you want
to be. Obviously, a person who's taken 100 lessons is going to be a better dancer
than a person who's taken 7 lessons. If you decide you want to continue taking
lessons after the $99 and $360 specials, then the Social Foundation is the next
step. Here is where we begin to develop good, strong Social dancing skills,
so that you can "hold your own" on the dance floor.

**Our Introductory and Beginner Programs ($99 and $360) are a one time only
special. You
cannot use coupons to further reduce those rates. There are for new adult students
only, and can be used only once per person. Cannot be combined with any other
offer or special.
Our Committment to Prices
At the Fred Astaire of Upper Montclair our prices are always published and
we guarantee the lowest prices every day. We offer the same specials to every
student every day and guarantee them throughout the year. We have two festivals
a year, in December and June, to give you a chance to stock up on lessons for
the next six months, but we do not hold sales to give you a falses sense of
savings.
When we plan a program with you, we go into the office and budget how many
lessons you'd like to take each week or month, and what combination of group
and private instruction fits your needs. Then we figure out the cost per month.
If that cost is too high, we simply change the number of lessons you take during
the week or month. You can pay as little as $160 a month, or over $1000 per
month. It is really up to each individual. You may opt to pay your contract
in full at any time, or you can make a payment plan that suits your needs. You
may stop paying on your contract if you stop coming to take lessons, and you
may cancel by writing us a letter at any time. If you don't come in for lessons
and you are paid up, we will not bill you.
Prices are only subject to change in January, and we will notify you well in
advance. We do not change prices in hopes that you'll buy now, or use incentive
discounts to get you to continue. All of our students pay the same rate for
each lesson.
