Stretch and Fitness Classes New At Fred Astaire The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Upper Montclair is now offering Stretch, Fitness and Ballet Classes!
Toning, Strengthening, Core and Flexibility Monday Nights – 7:00 pm Wednesday Nights -6:15 pm
Depending on the teacher, this class can either be gentle and yoga-like or more upbeat and set to contemporary music. Structured like a jazz ,or an aerobics class, it begins with gentle warms ups focusing on isolating the head, neck ribs, hips and legs, and then moves onto warming up the spine, legs, feet and ankles. After our warm-ups, the students are ready for some serious stretching! No dancing experience is required to attend.
Ballet For Ballroom Thursday Nights – 7:45 pm
You don’t need to be a ballerina to enjoy and learn a great deal from this class! Originally designed for ballroom dancers wanting to improve their poise, posture, grace, balance, and muscle strength, we’ve decided to offer this class to anyone wanting to improve in these areas. This class starts with 20 minutes of traditional ballet barre exercises, then seamlessly moves onto balance and strengthening exercises and finally ends with some serious stretching on the floor. No dancing experience is necessary to attend this class.
All classes are 40 minutes in length.
Prices: $25 for one class $15 for 10 or more
